Teen Charged With Placing Explosive Device in Driveway

18-year-old James Dillon was arrested by police in Fairhaven, Mass.

A teenager faces charges after putting an explosive device in a neighbor's driveway in Fairhaven, Massachusetts.

Police and fire officials responded Wednesday morning to a report of a suspicious device at 6 Jeanette St.

The Bomb Squad determined the plastic bottle, which was hidden under a wheelbarrow and contained an unknown liquid substance, was in fact dangerous. The device was then detonated without incident or injury.

18-year-old James Dillon of 10 Jeanette St. admitted to placing the bottle in the driveway Tuesday night.

Dillon was arrested and charged with placing an explosive device upon property. He was arraigned Wednesday afternoon.
