Teen Killed in Early Morning Crash in Wareham Identified

A 19-year-old man was killed after being struck by car following a crash early Sunday morning in Wareham, Massachusetts.

Authorities say the teen, who was later identified as Jack Quindley, was driving eastbound in I-195 shortly after 6:30 a.m. when the car veered off the road and struck the guardrail off the left side of the highway.

Quindley, along with his 18-year-old male passenger, got out of the car to inspect the damage when another car struck the 19-year-old, according to police.

The driver, a 51-old year old Hyannis man, along with the two teens were taken to a nearby hospital. Authorities say Quindley died from his injuries. The other two men suffered minor injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
