Numerous ferry trips were cancelled Saturday as the fringes of Hurricane Dorian brought waves, wind and rain to Cape Cod and the Islands, as well as other coastal areas.
Ferry operator Steamship Authority had cancelled the following trips:

- M/V KATAMA 5:30 a.m. Hyannis to Nantucket
- M/V ISLAND HOME 6:00 a.m. Woods Hole to Vineyard Haven
- M/V MARTHA'S VINEYARD 6:00 a.m. Vineyard Haven to Woods Hole
- M/V NANTUCKET 6:30 a.m. Woods Hole to Oak Bluffs
- M/V GOVERNOR 6:30 a.m. Vineyard Haven to Woods Hole
- M/V EAGLE 6:30 a.m. Nantucket to Hyannis
- M/V WOODS HOLE 6:30 a.m. Hyannis to Nantucket
- M/V ISLAND HOME 7:00 a.m. Vineyard Haven to Woods Hole

The company said several trips departing or arriving in Oak Bluffs had been diverted to Vineyard Haven.

Boston Harbor Cruises said whale aatches along with Provincetown and Salem Ferries had been cancelled for Saturday. The company said the Provincetown Ferry would be replaced with motor coach buses.
