After Isolated Storms, Monday to Be Beautiful, Mild in New England

Aside from isolated downpours and thunderstorms — a severe storm rolled through southern Massachussetts late Sunday afternoon — much of New England saw a beautiful Sunday. Along the coast, a strong sea breeze dropped temperatures by 10 degrees.

Monday will be another beautiful day and all of New England will enjoy the sunny, mild day.

Humidity levels increase throughout the day on Tuesday. Most of the area will stay dry, but there will be a few exceptions. Thunderstorms will move into western New England during the day, but they likely won’t survive the trek to the coast.

Wednesday and Thursday could be active weather days. The set-up already looks favorable for strong to severe thunderstorms. At this point, the high probabilities look to be on Wednesday. Humidity will be high, temperatures will reach the mid 80s and a cold front will continue to march east. It’s too early to determine how widespread the activity will be, but stay on guard and stay with NBC 10 Boston as we continue to finetune the forecast.

The last of the showers and thunderstorms will clear out Friday. Temperatures Friday will stay rather warm in the mid 80s, but the weekend looks cooler and less humid. We are expecting a refreshing air mass to set up for the weekend. At this point we are calling for sunshine, low humidity and temperatures around 80 degrees.
