Will He or Won't He? Is Tom Brady Getting Sick of All the Rob Gronkowski Speculation?

Tom Brady occasionally has stoked the fire of the Rob Gronkowski comeback rumors.

But the New England Patriots quarterback had zero interest in lending credibility to the latest report.

Brady was asked Monday morning on WEEI's "The Greg Hill Show" about a report that Patriots owner Robert Kraft has told Gronkowski he wants him back for New England's stretch run.

Here was Brady's response:

"I am really good friends with Gronk. We have had a great relationship for 10 years. Just because things are reported doesn't necessarily mean they are always true, just for the record."

Brady then went a step further by implying he doesn't expect Gronkowski to come out of retirement anytime soon.

"It really doesn't matter. Our team is what it is," Brady said. "The trade deadline is gone. Training camp has passed. Free agency is gone. The draft is gone. I mean, our team is what it is and I am excited about who we have and the opportunity that we have."

The Patriots obviously would welcome Gronkowski back with open arms, especially given their lack of depth at tight end.

But the former tight end's decision is out of their hands, and it sounds like Brady is getting a bit tired of the speculation as his team gears up for an important four-game stretch.
