by Marc Hurwitz

A new restaurant has debuted in the Chinatown section of Boston, and it claims to be the first restaurant of its kind in the city.

According to an article from Eater Boston, Tora Japanese Restaurant is now open on Tyler Street, with the Facebook page for the dining spot stating that it is "Boston's 1st Kaisen Don Restaurant." (Kaisen Don refers to a rice bowl that has sashimi, or raw fish/meat, placed on a bed of sushi rice.) In addition to Kaisen Don, Tora also offers poke bowls (raw fish salad), appetizers, hot entrees, and more.

EB mentions that Tora has both tables and counter seating, and that it is open for lunch and dinner daily.

The address for this new Japanese restaurant in Chinatown is: Tora, 20B Tyler Street, Boston, MA, 02111.
