The defending World Series champions will pay tribute to the World Cup champions on Friday night.

Naeher, who played every minute of the World Cup run, provided one of the biggest moments of the tournament when she saved a penalty kick against England in the semifinals. Mewis played in six of the USWNT's seven matches and scored twice in the 13-0 blowout win over Thailand in the opening match.
After Naeher and Mewis throw out the first pitch, the Red Sox will hope their fortune rubs off on them as they start the second half of the season vs. a 60-32 Dodgers squad.
