Unclear if Plow Driver Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Crash Will Face Charges

Mark Bobbitt, 64, of Easton, was killed Wednesday after he was hit by truck with a plow attached to it

It’s still unclear if a snow plow driver accused of fatally hitting a 64-year-old Massachusetts man will face charges, but authorities are continuing their investigation on what led up to the tragedy.

Mark Bobbitt was changing a rear driver’s side tire on Wednesday in Easton when he was hit by a truck with a plow attached to it, according to officials. The incident happened around 1 p.m. on Washington Street.

Neighbors say Bobbitt was dragged, and the incident was captured by a home security camera.

"I heard the crash. I walked back to the window and saw the body at the end of the driveway," neighbor Deborah Bocchino said.

The victim was rushed to Good Samaritan Medical Center, where he died.

Authorities say the snow plow driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. The driver's identity has not been released.
