‘Unsubstantiated Threat' Prompts Delay at Weymouth High School

Weymouth High School is under a three-hour delay Monday morning following reports of what school officials called an "unsubstantiated threat."

School officials sent a notice Monday morning saying the delay will allow officials to investigate the threat. They are working with Weymouth police "out of an abundance of caution."

"Student and staff safety is of the upmost importance to us, so it is with this in mind that we believe it is best to delay the start of school today," the notice said.

Bus routes are also delayed until 10:30 a.m.
