Upcoming Showers to Interrupt Fall-Like Feel

We’re off to a beautiful start to our week as we continue to expect the first few tastes of fall.

Skies will be sunny as high temperatures range from the upper 60s to the low 70s. Tuesday will equally be as nice with temperatures about 5 to 10 degrees warmer.

The warm-up will continue Wednesday through Friday, when temps will climb from the upper 70s into the low 80s. During that time, humidity levels will also increase slightly. A few showers and thunderstorms will be possible Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

The holiday weekend starts to cool off. Saturday looks to be the beach day with sunshine and temperatures in the 80s. Showers will be possible om Labor Day. Temperatures will stay in the mid-70s through midweek of the following week.

We are still watching an area of low pressure off Florida, which may develop into a tropical storm in the next couple of days. The system should stay off shore, but with astronomically high tide, building swell/surf and an onshore wind – we will see to watch the late week tides.

There is also tropical storm Dorian, which is heading for the islands. This storm will likely intensify gradually into a hurricane by late week. Stay tuned!
