A school van carrying three kids was involved in a motor-vehicle accident Monday afternoon in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Police responded to the area of Wilder and Shaw Streets after receiving word of the accident just after 3 p.m.
Upon arriving at the scene, responding officers learned the school van had collided with a Honda coupe. The van contained a driver and three students. The Honda contained four people.
Police say the children in the van and driver showed no signs of injury. The four occupants in the Honda suffered minor injuries. All eight occupants were transported for treatment.
The Honda's operator, 23-year-old Axel Gonzalez-Famania, has been charged with speeding and the failure to stop at a stop sign.
