“I yelled at a passing car and I said call the police and so someone actually pulled over," Sloan said. "They called the police and the police were here in five minutes.”

“I did see the divers suiting up and some of the divers down in the water," Kathleen White, another eyewitness said.

“I think he was just dazed. He said he was OK. But it took him a while to answer,” Sloan added.

The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was taken to Beth Israel Hospital, according to police.

Shortly thereafter, the vehicle was hoisted out of the water and towed away.

Massachusetts State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
