Watch Rob Gronkowski Dent Patriots' Lombardi Trophy in Hilarious Video

Rob Gronkowski's parting shot with the New England Patriots left a rather large dent in the team's Lombardi Trophy from Super Bowl LIII.

Angelique Fiske of Patriots.com wrote an oral history of the story, which comes from the team's appearance at Fenway Park on April 9. The Pats attended the Red Sox home opener at Fenway Park to celebrate their sixth Super Bowl victory, but some shenanigans before the actual ceremony on the field left a mark in the iconic trophy.

Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman wanted to get his arm loose before throwing out the first pitch, so while the team was in a tent waiting to go on the Fenway Park field, he tossed a baseball in Gronkowski's direction and the recently retired tight end used the football portion of the Lombardi Trophy to make contact in a bunting motion.

Ouch!

As of now, the team doesn't plan on immediately fixing the dent. In the story version on the team's website, Patriots vice president of media relations Stacey James says "Maybe they'll fix it down the road. That's something they can always fix in the future, but at least for now, we're going to keep the dent and tell the story."

And it's quite a story.
