The Stitch House is not only a fully stocked yarn shop, but it also offers classes for all the fiber arts including crochet, sewing, and quilting. Watch:
The Patriots face the Dolphins on Sunday at 1 pm. Head to Lucy’s American Tavern for brunch and feast on a stack of funfetti pancakes or eggs benny then stick around for the game. Don’t forget about the adult iced coffees!

Listen to the music! The Boston Pops will perform a special free concert in Franklin Park on Sunday, September 30 at 3 p.m. After the concert enjoy a community arts festival with family-friendly activities presented by many local institutions and arts organizations. There will be an interactive mural, instrument playground, crafts, photo booth, live animal demonstrations, and more! The outdoor concert marks the second year in a row for this free outdoor concert at The Playstead at Franklin Park, 25 Pierpont Road.  The festival also includes local food vendors.

Discover Moakley! Mayor Martin J. Walsh invites residents and visitors of all ages to “Discover Moakley” with a family festival on Saturday, September 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. followed by an outdoor movie at 7 p.m. along with more activities highlighting this popular park located along the beaches in South Boston. “Discover Moakley” will be a full day of fun with food, beach games, skateboarding, a screening of “The Goonies,” and more. This event is free to the public and family friendly. Explore new recreational activities, learn about resilient landscapes, and discover the potential for Moakley Park. Learn about what is being done to make Moakley Park accessible to all of Boston, while enjoying the festivities at the same time. The event is hosted by the Boston’s Parks and Recreation and Greenovate Boston, Save the Harbor/Save the Bay, Boston Harbor Now, The Trust for Public Land, and the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation.

See:
Take in the animals at the Franklin Park Zoo on Saturday, September 29th. Meet a few of your favorite princesses and join Jack and the Pirates of the Rogues’ Armada as they invade the Zoo on between 11am-3pm. Meet and pose for photos with the princesses and learn how you can be a pirate under the instruction of Captain Jack and his crew. There will also be crafts, special animal encounters, and an education station. Kids are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite fairy tale outfit! Free with admission to the zoo! The air is just crisp enough to put on your favorite sweater and the urge to head out to the country and pick apples is overwhelming.
