Weymouth Police Searching for 3 Suspects in Violent Armed Robbery

Surveillance video shows blood streaming down the clerk's head after he was pistol whipped during a struggle with one suspect

Police are looking for three suspects behind a violent armed robbery captured on surveillance video at a gas station in Weymouth, Massachusetts.

Officers responded around 3:30 a.m. Thursday to a report of an armed robbery at the Mobil Gas Station located at 512 Main Street.

The clerk told police that he was robbed by three men with a handgun.

Surveillance video shows one of the suspects rush behind the counter and push a gun against the clerk’s back before striking the clerk over the head with a handgun. Blood can be seen streaming down the clerk’s head on video.

During the brief struggle, the other suspects took the cash drawer and filled up a backpack with cigarettes.

The clerk called for help as the suspects fled on foot north on Main Street. Police say it's unclear if a vehicle was involved.

"Scary, not easy, one guy, three people, try to beat him, take his money, that is really scary," store manager Abe Nassif said. “He did good. He is a good, strong man, but you know, gun in the middle, so he gave up.”

The clerk is okay and has since returned to work but did not want to go on camera.

The suspects did get away with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

The three suspects are believed to be Hispanic males. The first suspect had a red jacket on with a blue backpack. The second suspect had on a black jacket, grey sweatpants, a baseball hat, and white shoes. The third suspect was wearing a black puffy jacket, sandals with socks, and a black baseball hat with a red, white and blue brim on it.

Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage and say this is an active and ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Weymouth police.
