‘What a Team': Belichick Heaps Praise on Red Sox

New England Patriots Bill Belichick is a man of few words. But he did open up a bit when asked about this year's Boston Red Sox team on Tuesday.

"What a game that was Sunday," Belichick said, referencing the Sox' come-from-behind win against the New York Yankees, which completed a four-game sweep. "What a team they have. I marvel at the way they compete and how consistent they've been, how many people have contributed, just the overall organization."

He also praised Dave Dombrowski, the team's general manager, saying he's done a "great job," and offered some kind words for team vice president Tony La Russa and manager Alex Cora as well.

"You know, we have a good relationship with those people and they've been great to us," he said. "So I wish the Red Sox nothing but hte best, not that they need any help from me. They seem to be doing just fine."

The Patriots play their first preseason game on Thursday night against the Washington Redskins.
