Police: Tree Falls on Woman During Nor'easter

A woman was hit by a falling tree in Woburn, Massachusetts, during the powerful nor'easter that slammed the region on Friday.

Woburn police tell NBC10 Boston that the woman who was hit by the tree was injured. She is believed to have non-life threatening injuries at this time.

The woman was walking with her son at the time of the incident on Main Street, just across the street from the Wyman Elementary School.

Police say that they had to use the jaws of life to free the woman. The tree also knocked down nearby power lines. Utility crews were able to shut down the electricity to the wires to avoid a possible electrocution.

No other details were immediately provided.
