Woman Charged With OUI After Crash Into House

According to police in Groveland, Massachusetts, Krystyna Ewart of Haverhill was high on narcotics when she slammed into a house Wednesday night; no one was injured.

A woman has been charged with driving under the influence of drugs when she allegedly crashed into a house in Groveland, Massachusetts.

Police say 46-year-old Krystyna Ewart of Haverhill was high on narcotics when she first hit a fire hydrant, went through a fence and crashed into the foundation of a School Street home.

According to police, there is already a drug-related OUI case pending against Ewart in Haverhill.

Neither Ewart nor the people in the house were injured. The foundation was damaged, but the house was not destroyed in the crash.

Police believe Ewart was on Valium or Xanax at the time of the crash.

In addition to the OUI, Ewart faces a charge of negligent operation to endanger and a marked lanes violation.

Ewart was held without bail and is expected to be arraigned Friday in Haverhill.
