Woman Reportedly Hospitalized After Lowell Stabbing

Authorities in Lowell, Massachusetts, are investigating after a woman was reportedly stabbed in a residential neighborhood.

The Lowell Sun reports the stabbing happened at about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday on the second floor of a home near 93 Fremont St. Emergency responders found the victim conscious, suffering from at least one stab wound.

A witness told The Lowell Sun she heard people yelling at each other and later saw a woman holding a kitchen knife.

The stabbing victim was hospitalized, the paper said. Her current condition is unclear.

Video of the scene showed investigators scouring the area in the rain, with one street blocked off from public access.

The investigation is ongoing.
