Woman Sustains Serious Injuries in Brockton Stabbing

A woman sustained serious injuries Friday afternoon after a stabbing in Brockton, Massachusetts.

According to police, a 41-year-old woman was stabbed in the neck in the area of Belmont and Grafton streets shortly before 4 p.m.

Massachusetts State Police take photos of the victim's SUV, left in the middle of the road after the stabbing.

"She came out with her knife and struck the lady's neck," said neighbor Edwin Deleon.

Deleon was sitting outside and says one woman stabbed another woman in the neck over some type of road rage disagreement.

"The lady was in the car, that pickup truck or SUV, whatever you call it, and I see a lady comes out of the car and slices her throat and walk away and run away," he said.

Crime scene markers showed a pocket knife near the victim's vehicle, as well as a perfume bottle.

Another neighbor tended to the victim on a front lawn, Deleon said.

"And this young guy was trying to help her out, and trying to save her life," he said.

The victim was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital in serious condition.

Police say they're questioning a woman. Eyewitnesses believe that woman turned herself in at the police station, but no charges have been filed yet.
