Elderly Woman Struck, Killed by School Van in Amherst, DA Says

A 88-year-old woman has died after being struck by a school bus Wednesday morning in Amherst, Massachusetts, authorities said.

The crash happened at about 11 a.m. in the area of 280 West St. as a school van was exiting Crocker Farm School, according to the Northwestern District Attorney's office.

The victim was identified as Eva Fenner of Amherst, according to the district attorney's office.  

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine her exact cause of death, according to prosecutors.

Amherst police and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office are investigating.
