Worcester College Softball Player's Hazing Lawsuit Settled

A former student-athlete at a Massachusetts college who says she was injured in a hazing incident has settled her lawsuit against the school.

The Telegram & Gazette reports that according to court records posted this week, Caroline Roch's case against Worcester Polytechnic Institute has been settled and an order of dismissal entered. Terms of the settlement weren't disclosed.

Neither Roch's attorneys nor the university commented when contacted by the newspaper.

Roch was a member of WPI's softball team.

According to the lawsuit, in March 2015 at a team gathering in Florida, Roch and other first-year players were made to line up at the edge of a pool and pushed in by older teammates. The suit said Roch fell on the edge of the pool and dislocated her shoulder.
