&pizza to Open in Tory Row, Crimson Corner Spaces in Cambridge's Harvard Square

A Washington, D.C.-based pizza chain is coming to Cambridge, and it will be taking over the spaces where another restaurant had been and where a decades-old newsstand currently resides.

According to an article in Cambridge Day, &pizza is planning to open in Harvard Square, moving into the former Tory Row space and the Crimson Corner space by the corner of Mass. Ave. and Brattle Street. The post says that Crimson Corner, which used to be called Nini's Corner and has been owned by the same family for 54 years, has lost its lease and will be forced to close at the end of the month. (Tory Row shut down this past October.)

&pizza got its start in Washington, D.C. in 2012 and currently has approximately 20 locations in DC, Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania; an earlier article in the Washington Business Journal mentioned that the pizza chain is looking to open between 8 and 12 new outlets over the next year or so, including one in Manhattan.
