Boston

A Break from the Rain Ahead

Showers continue to spread over Southern New England, especially south of the Mass Pike, with accumulations close to an inch possible. The steadiest and heaviest rain will fall along the South Coast and may stay just south of Boston. Temperatures will be in the 50s, which are very atypical for this time of year.

Highs today will be warmest in Northern New England where the sun is out, with temperatures soaring close to 70 degrees in places like Burlington, Vermont and Bangor, Maine.

Showers will taper off this evening as the Mid-Atlantic disturbance moves out to sea with clouds sticking around the coast.

Monday will bring the return of sunshine for all of us - the last time that happened in Boston was a week ago - so make sure to take advantage and head outdoors, even if it’s just for lunch. Highs will be in the 60s to near 70.

Tuesday starts out bright, but clouds quickly increase as a cold front moves closer to the region triggering showers and even the slight chance for thunderstorms. This system pulls away rapidly allowing for high pressure to settle in for Wednesday making for a beautiful day.

We can’t seem to shake this pattern off and more showers are in the forecast Thursday and Friday.

As of now, next weekend looks a little brighter and milder, with temperatures near average.
