After a Prolonged Heat Stretch, an Early Taste of Fall

We received an early taste of fall this weekend. Temperatures climbed into the low 70s with low humidity. Tomorrow, we will see an even cooler airmass aloft with an onshore wind. Showers are possible throughout the day.

Temperatures will remain cool through the day on Tuesday. Inland locations will warm into the 80s, but onshore wind will keep temperatures in the 70s along the coast.

We aren’t expecting a whole lot of unsettled weather this week. Showers are possible with some warmer air by mid to late week. Temperatures to return to the 80s.

Labor Day weekend looks very nice. A lot of sunshine, temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s and relatively low humidity.

The tropics are heating up. We are watching an area of low pressure off of Florida which may develop into a tropical storm in the next couple of days. The system should stay off shore, but with astronomically high tide, building swell/surf and an onshore wind – we will need to watch the late week tides.

There is also tropical depression #5, which is heading for the islands. This storm will likely intensify gradually into a hurricane by late week. Stay tuned!
