Boston

Another Shower-Filled Week Ahead

After a beautiful Saturday, clouds will be increasing once again overnight.

Low temperatures will bottom out in the mid 40s. Showers will develop for our Mother’s Day. Temperatures will be unseasonably cool in the mid 50s. It doesn’t look like the rain will be particularly heavy or steady.

We’ve had measurable rain in Boston more than half the days of May so far. It’s interesting to note, that our monthly rainfall is still below average. Even though we’ve seen at least some rain more than half the days, it’s been light.

Showers will persist into Monday and Tuesday. A period of steadier rain is looking likely. Monday will be even cooler with high temperatures in the low 50s.

Tuesday, a more formidable system will move through. Some of the rain Monday night into Tuesday could be locally heavy. Tuesday will be a very raw day with high temperatures only in the mid 40s. It’s possible that some wet snowflakes could mix in, in the higher elevations of New England Monday night into Tuesday!

Wednesday should bring a break from the rain with temperatures in the mid 50s.

Rain chances increase once again by Thursday and Friday. Currently, Thursday looks to be the wetter of the two days.

Next weekend is looking drier and warmer. Temperatures will reach the mid to upper 60s. In the following week, the sunshine will continue and temperatures will be in the upper 60s and low 70s.
