Police say a Roxbury man has been charged in connection to a shooting at a house party that left four people wounded.

Boston Police Commissioner William B. Evans says 30-year-old Anthony Sheffield was arrested near the scene of the shooting Saturday for possessing a gun.

He is charged with three counts of armed assault with intent to murder and unlawful possession of a handgun.

Five men have been injured in two separate shootings in Boston Saturday morning,

One person was shot in the hand at the party, while three others sustained more serious injuries.

An attorney for Sheffield could not be immediately identified.
