Arrest Made in Dorchester Double Shooting

An arrest has been made in a double shooting in Dorchester last week that killed one man and left a teenage victim injured.

Boston police announced Wednesday that they had arrested Odell Sanders, 21, in connection with an ongoing homicide investigation related to the double shooting on July 25.

Police received a call of a shooting at 11:10 p.m. on July 25 on Norfolk Street in Dorchester, according to officials. There, they found the two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

One of the victims, Jorge Baez, 27, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second victim, a teenager, was transported to an area hospital with injuries that police have said are non-life-threatening.

Sanders will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of murder and assault with intent to murder.
