Police are investigating after a person was assaulted on board an MBTA bus in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
The assault happened on the 22 bus to Ashmont around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, near the intersection of Talbot Avenue and Whitfield Street.
The victim was conscious and alert as he was rushed to the hospital, transit police say.
A witness says the victim appears to be a teen.
"I think it is unacceptable," said Kevin Clark, who was nearby when the bus came to a stop.
MBTA detectives spent Tuesday evening processing the crime scene, looking for evidence and clues as to what happened.
"It's crazy, it's crazy. These are kids. These are high school kids," Clark said. "They are not grown ups."
