Authorities: Officer-Involved Shooting Under Investigation in Keene, New Hampshire

New Hampshire's attorney general says there's been an officer-involved shooting in Keene.

Attorney General Gordon MacDonald initial reports are that around 2:04 p.m., Keene police responded to a residence to assist a party who was leaving a home on Wilford Street.

There was a confrontation with an adult male, later identified as 28-year-old Patrick Letendre, and several Keene police officers. Letendre was a resident of the apartment.

During that confrontation, two police officers discharged their weapons and wounded Letendre. He was taken to the hospital and is being treated for his injuries.

No law enforcement officers or other private citizens were injured.

The exact reason why officers discharged their weapons remains under investigation.

Each officer has been place on paid administrative leave, per protocol.

It is not known if Letendre will face criminal charges.
