Backlash Beer Co. Plans to Open Facility in Roxbury

It looks like a contract brewer has found a space in which to produce its beers, and it will be located only a couple of miles south of downtown Boston.

BostInno is reporting that Backlash Beer Co. is planning to open in a space on Hampden Street in Roxbury (between Newmarket Square and Dudley Square) that used to be a piano factory, with the company setting up a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for the place. Up until now, Backlash has been making its beers at other breweries in the local area, but now with a space of its own close to become reality, not only will it have its own spot for brewing beer, but it will also have a taproom with local music and art as well. If all goes as planned, Backlash could be in its new home in the summer of 2017.

Backlash Beer Co. first started out in Holyoke in the summer of 2011, according to an Eater Boston post.
