Beginning of Week Starting With Wet Weather

Clouds will increase to start the week and rain chances will return by midday Monday along the southwestern part of the region, arriving in Boston by the evening commute.

A coastal system will also clip the region. Rainfall totals from this system will be about a half inch or less. Expect highs to be in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees along the coast and lows to be in the mid-40s.

Election Day will be unsettled. A separate system will move in from the west on Tuesday, bringing some more wet weather late in the day into early Wednesday. Heavy rain and strong winds are possible. Once the system moves out on Wednesday, temperatures will reach the low-60s.

Temperatures will become mild again early to mid-week, before cooling again late week.

We will catch a break Thursday when another beautiful fall day is expected. Another storm system is possible Friday into Saturday. This, too, could bring heavy rain and strong winds, but it’s too far out to track exact details.

We will continue to keep you up to date with the latest developments.
