Bicyclist Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Hit-and-Run on Cape

Police are searching for a light-colored sedan with a roof rack and possible front-end damage in connection to the incident

A bicyclist suffered life-threatening injuries overnight after he was hit by a car that fled the scene on the Cape.

The hit-and-run happened at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in Brewster, according to Boston Police Department Capt. Fuller. Officials said the crash happened on Millstone Road.

Footage of the scene captured investigators examining a bicycle that was left in the area. Several evidence markers could be seen surrounding the bike.

The victim, identified 32-year-old Connor Long, of Brewster, was treated at the scene then taken to Barnstable Municipal Airport to be rushed to Tufts Medical Center by plane. Long is in stable condition, according to police.

Police are searching for a light-colored sedan in connection with the hit-and-run. Officials said the car may have been a hatchback with a roof rack and would have front-end damage on the passenger side.
