Billy Joel Returns to Fenway Park for 5th Consecutive Year

For the fifth consecutive year, legendary musician Billy Joel will return to Fenway Park due to overwhelming demand.

According to the Boston Red Sox and Live Nation, Joel will play at the historic park on Friday, Aug. 10.

"We marvel at the fact that this will be the fifth consecutive year Billy Joel will be performing at Fenway Park, but we are not surprised," said Red Sox President and CEO Sam Kennedy. "It is a testament to the enduring popularity of his great music and consummate showmanship, and we couldn’t be happier that the Piano Man is returning here to deliver more summer magic."

Joel ranks as one of most popular recording artists and respected entertainers in history, having sold 150 million records over the past quarter century and scoring 33 consecutive Top 40 hits.

He is the sixth best-selling recording artist of all time and the third best-selling solo artist.

According to Live Nation, the Library of Congress selected "Piano Man" in 2016 for preservation in the National Recording Registry for its "cultural, historic, and artistic significance".
