Police say the cold weather after Monday's snowfall has led to multiple crashes in southeastern Massachusetts.

State police tweeted around 1:30 p.m. that there had been "numerous" crashes and spin-outs on Route 3 in Duxbury and Route 44 in Carver because of black ice.

Police in Carver added that they were assisting Plymouth Police after "multiple accidents" on Federal Furnace Road, which leads to Tremont Street in Carver, where traffic was being detoured.

Authorities would like drivers to be cautious when traveling in the area.
