Reports of a suspicious envelope sent to U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen's Manchester, New Hampshire office reportedly prompted a response from a bomb squad on Wednesday.
The New Hampshire Union Leader reports Shaheen's office was evacuated after crews responded to the suspicious envelope shortly after 5 p.m.
A hazardous materials team performed an assessment on the envelope and found there was no physical threat.
The Democrat later Tweeted her gratitude to the responding authorities.
