Boston Children’s Hospital was recognized as No. 1 on the Best Children’s Honor Roll by the U.S. News and World Report on Tuesday for its excellence in pediatric care.
The top 10 list ranked children’s hospitals nationally based on 10 specialties that include pediatric cancer, heart surgery and orthopedics. Each of the highly-acclaimed hospitals earned points for ranking well in the various specialties.
With 238 points, Boston Children’s Hospital was best in class, followed by Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Ohio.

The 2018-2019 rankings were considered after sending nearly 200 hospitals and 11,000 pediatric specialists a clinical survey.
Boston Children’s Hospital received a perfect score for its orthopedics, nephrology and neurosurgery. It also received high marks for cardiology, diabetes and gastroenterology.
