Brighton Man Arrested for Early Morning Burglary: Cambridge Police

The 25-year-old suspect was located with help from a witness and a home surveillance system, police said

A Brighton man was arrested for a burglary in the Wellington-Harrington neighborhood of Cambridge on Saturday, police said.

A resident on Hunting Street reported that they were woken up by a strange man in their bedroom around 1:20 a.m. Saturday morning, according to Cambridge Police.

"I think it’s a little unsettling," said John Watson. "We just moved in here not too long ago, so...I didn’t really expect something like this to happen on our street but I’m glad they arrested the man that did that."

One neighbor managed to give police a description of the suspect as he ran from the driveway, while another provided a picture from a home security surveillance camera, authorities said.

The suspect, Leo Vincent Chaisson, 25, was arrested around 1 p.m. on Saturday by Cambridge Police. Chaisson has no prior arrest records in the state according to law enforcement. He will be charged with unarmed burglary and larceny.
