Bullet Lands on Bed After Being Fired by Neighbor Into Mass. Home, Police Say

A neighbor told officers that he pulled the trigger by accident, accoridng to police

A bullet flew into a home and landed on a bed in East Wareham, Massachusetts, Thursday night, police said.

No one was hurt in the incident, which took place about 7:15 p.m. on Quaker Road, according to Wareham police.

Investigators looked into the apparently random gunshot and found that a neighbor had fired the gun from inside their home, police said.

The neighbor, identified as Christopher Poirier, told officers that he pulled the trigger by accident while he'd been looking at the gun, according to police.

Poirer is being summonded to Wareham District Court for allegedly discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling. He is also being called for possession of a firearm without a firearms identification card and reckless endangerment of a child, police said in a statement.
