Car Slams Into Health Clinic in Roxbury; 1 Person Injured

The Whittier Street Health Center's satellite clinic in Roxbury administers coronavirus vaccines to people eligible to receive them

A car slammed into a satellite location of a health clinic in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood just after 3 a.m. Tuesday.

The crash shattered the front glass windows of the Whittier Street Health Center's satellite clinic as well as the Christ Apostolic Church, located at 282 Blue Hill Avenue, according to the Boston Police Department.

 One victim was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, authorities said.

The clinic has been administering coronavirus vaccines since Feb. 1, according to the center's website. Officials said the clinic would open Tuesday and provide vaccination shots to those with appointments.

No further information was immediately available.
