Carbo-Load Before the Marathon in Southie

Whether you’re running the Marathon or just cheering for someone running it, you can carbo-load your way around Southie this week!

Babbo will be hosting a Pre-Marathon Pasta Party on Thursday, April 12th at 6:30 p.m. The seated dinner will cost $60 per person and will include wine paired with each course (YES)!

This four course meal will include Frittata di Pasta with Arugula Salad, Three-Year Parmigiano Reggiano, aceto tradizionale,  Tagliatelle alla Primavera with Spring Verdure, Pecorino Romano, Spinach Cannelloni with Braised Veal, Bechamel and Lemon Sorbetto and Creme Fraiche GelatoBabbo keeps it going with a generously sized, protein-packed Spaghetti & Meatballs Marathon Special for only $12 from Friday, April 13th to Sunday, April 15th, in addition to its variety of regularly available pastas. How does bottomless pasta sound? Capo is hosting an all you can eat past fest featuring rigatoni bolognese, pesto gemelli, and spaghetti & meatballs – available family style. $16-$23 per person

Lincoln Tavern is brunch central and they’ll be offering two days of pre-marathon brunch specials like Clean Plate Protein Pancakes, topped with caramelized bananas, almond butter, smoked buckwheat honey, and blueberry compote. April 13th: 10:00am-11:00pm; April 15th: 10:00am-10:00pm

Oak & Rowan
Oak & Rowan in Fort Point want to keep your energy up on Sunday, April 15th with a special brunch featuring egg sandwiches and dutch babies. They will also opening again for a special Sunday Supper, with pasta specials like garganelle bolognese and lemon-ricotta ravioli. Yum!

Row 34
Row 34 will be getting in on the carbo-loading-palooza. On April 15th from 5:00-10:00pm, enjoy three different pasta options like kale bucatini with clams, green garlic and pistachio or garganelli with tuna bolognese and pecorino.

Tuscan Kitchen
Tuscan Kitchen Seaport is offering an amazing deal for all marathon runners. ALL weekend long (April 14-16th), marathon runners who show their registration (the marathon app is acceptable) will receive a complimentary meal of some of Joe Faro’s favorite pasta dishes including Spagettini Pomodoro with Grilled Organic Chicken Breast / Roasted Broccolini, Tagliatelle Bolognesse with Classic Braised Sauce of Beef, Veal & Pork, Parmiggiano Reggiano and Ricotta Gnocchi with San Marzano Tomato, Basil Pesto, Garlic Spinach!
