Cleanup Begins After First Snowfall of the Season

Cleanup is underway Sunday morning as people in New England are dealing with the first plowable snowfall this season.

While the snow has stopped, there are some slick conditions in the Worcester, Massachusetts area where there is a couple of inches of snow on the ground.

Some people were up as early as 5 a.m. Sunday morning to shovel snow.

"Personally, if I could be somewhere else, I would be. But I've been here all my life so it is what it is," Worcester resident David Perez said.

Worcester's Department of Public Works had about 300 pieces of equipment working to clear the streets Saturday night, into Sunday.

So by the time the sun came out Sunday, people were able to go about their usual routines.

"I've been here for like 25 years, so this is nothing new to me, you know what I'm saying" Worcester resident Rhodney Dover said. "Those guys down in Atlanta that got some snow, they don't know how to handle it. But here man, in Massachusetts, come on, you know what I'm saying. It's snow, man. And it is December, so what are you going to expect?"

A parking ban was put in place by the city. It's not immediately clear if the ban has been lifted.
