"This National Coffee Day, we’re focused on providing continued assistance to help Puerto Rico recover following the devastation of Hurricane Maria one year ago, where the coffee industry was decimated," said a company spokesperson.
The chain is donating 2 million coffee seeds to rebuild the island’s coffee industry. Additionally, the Starbucks Foundation and EFI Foundation are giving a three-year $583,00 grant to World Coffee Research to improve seed quality and growing practices in Puerto Rico.
You’ll love it. Participating McDonald’s locations are selling any size McCafe coffee for $1 or a small McCafe espresso drink for $2. This deal is not limited to Coffee Day and part of the fast food chain’s "$1 $2 $3 Dollar Menu."

This restaurant located by Boston Common has a few specials for National Coffee Day. Receive a complimentary small hot or iced coffee when you purchase any pastry product from the cafe (one limit per customer). Explorateur created a special espresso cream cinnamon bun for $3.
The cafe will also offer an espresso rubbed New York strip special for dinner guests made with horseradish, braised greens, potatoes and peppercorn sauce for $39.
