- Today (Thursday): Hot and humid, a few afternoon downpours. Highs 85-90°, heat index 90-95°.
- Overnight Thursday Night: Humidity departs, partly cloudy. Lows in the 60s.
- Friday: Pleasant air, clouds & sun. Highs in the 70s.
The blazing heat and humidity in New England finally comes to an end Thursday as a cold front moves through.
As it moves south, expect a few more clouds that will help cap our temperatures in the 80s. It will still be quite muggy early on, but humidity will drop from north to south as less muggy air moves in behind the front.

With the cold front sliding by, expect pop-up downpours and storms in Southern New England. The best chance for that is during the afternoon.
Friday is dramatically cooler in the 70s as our wind comes in off of the water. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds, with perhaps a spot shower here or there.
Saturday is a very similar day, before the wind goes south on Sunday, bringing us back into the 80s. We’ll still have a mix of sun and clouds with a shower here or there.

Monday, Labor Day itself, is the warmest day of the weekend with more 80s and a bit more humidity. Even though there still may be a spot shower, it’s important to note that each day this weekend will be mainly dry. Any wet weather will be very isolated and shouldn’t impact outdoor plans in a meaningful way.
Next week looks warmer than average as well.
