New England

Cold Weather Grasps Region Until Midweek

The Cape and Islands will see some light snow Sunday, but the remainder of New England will be dry.

Clouds might back all the way to Interstate 495, keeping the coast overcast for most of the day. The Red Sox game looks brisk, with a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures only in the mid-40s.

Monday should be mostly sunny and cool. High temperatures will reach the mid-40s.

Tuesday will bring our next chance for showers. Those showers will develop along a warm front, which moves through Tuesday night. Temperatures by Wednesday should reach 50 degrees.

The remainder of the 10-day forecast period should be void of any high temperatures in the 40s. Expect most days to hit and exceed 50 degrees. Shower chances will persist, but there will be dry time and sunshine mixed in between.

All eyes turn to Marathon Monday. At this point, the showery weather will continue. Temperatures will be seasonable in the low 50s. We’ve been warmer, we’ve been colder and we’ve been stormier – so this year will be… average.
