Comcast Subcontractor Accused of Assaulting Woman at Her Home

A subcontractor doing work for Comcast in Massachusetts is accused of assaulting a woman in her home.

Police say the suspect, a Rhode Island man who has not been identified, was installing cable boxes in Abington. The victim, a 21-year-old woman, was home alone when he allegedly pushed her against a wall and tried to kiss her.

The woman quickly called police and officers identified the suspect. He was summonsed to Brockton District Court on charges of assault and accosting a person of the opposite sex.

"We take these allegations very seriously, and we can confirm the contractor in question has been pulled from Comcast work pending completion of the investigation," Comcast said in a statement. "We will, of course, cooperate fully with local law enforcement."
