Woman Indicted for Allegedly Having Sex With Inmate While a Corrections Officer

The district attorney says Vicki Oliver, 53, of New Bedford, was witnessed having sexual intercourse with a male inmate at the Massachusetts Treatment Center

A Massachusetts woman has been indicted after allegedly having sex with an inmate at the correctional facility where she worked in Bridgewater.

A Plymouth County Grand Jury returned an indictment Friday against Vicki Oliver, 53, of New Bedford, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney's office. Oliver was charged with one count of sexual relations with an inmate.

On Feb. 17, another corrections officer at the Massachusetts Treatment Center reported to corrections officials that they had witnessed Oliver having sexual intercourse with a male inmate at the treatment center.

Authorities said the indictment came after an investigation by state police assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office and the Massachusetts Department of Corrections.

Oliver will be arraigned on the charge at a later date in Brockton Superior Court.
