A couple was arrested over the weekend as the result of a months-long, joint drug investigation by authorities in Barnstable, Massachusetts.
Robert 'Bookie' Perry and his girlfriend, Tayla Degrace, were arrested after Barnstable detectives executed a search warrant at Perry's home on Ridgewood Avenue in Hyannis.
Detectives located heroin, digital scales, cutting agents, packaging materials, and writings detailing their distribution of the deadly drug.

Law enforcement also found two handguns and ammunition hidden in a container in the vacant lot next to Perry's home and will be sent to undergo DNA analysis.
Police say Degrace assaulted a detective as he was placing her in custody.
Perry, 26, was charged with possession of a Class A substance, conspiracy to violate the controlled substance laws. His bail was set at $1,500, which was posted shortly following his arrest. He is due to be arraigned in Barnstable District Court on Monday, May 7.
Degrace was also charged with possession of a Class A substance and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance laws, as well as assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shoe). Her bail was at $750, which was posted. She is also scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Barnstable District Court.
The couple's arrest comes after Barnstable detectives received information that Perry took over his older brother's narcotics distribution business while he was being held without bail on two pending drug and gun cases.
Perry's brother, 27-year-old Jimmy Lee Perry, was arrested on March 27 when Yarmouth and Barnstable Police detectives executed a search warrant at 125 Lewis Street in Hyannis, recovering more than 19 grams of Fentanyl. Jimmy Perry was arrested and charged with trafficking Fentanyl.
Jimmy Perry was initially released on bail, but following another search warrant on April 18, he was arrested again after detectives located three handguns.
Jimmy Perry and his roommate, Michael Randall, were charged with unlawful possession of guns.
