Crews Battle 5-Alarm Fire in Brockton

Several fire crews from surrounding communities were on the scene Saturday of a fire in Brockton, Massachusetts that has gone to a 5th alarm.

The fire started at around 3pm Saturday in the area of Brockton Avenue.

The building was being occupied by a construction company according to Brockton Fire Chief Michael Williams.

Williams said that the building had offices and a large amount of wood and woodworking equipment inside.

"The actual owner of the business was milling wood for a house that he was building for himself," said Williams.

Fire crews were on scene Sunday morning to monitor any potential hot spots.

No one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
