Driver Dead in Watertown Crash

A person is dead after a major crash Wednesday evening in Watertown, Massachusetts.

Police responded to a crash at the intersection of Pleasant Street and Bridge Street. They say a driver lost control, hitting one vehicle, then flipping to its side and hitting another car driving in the opposite direction before landing on its roof.

The driver of the vehicle that rolled over has died, police confirmed shortly before 10 p.m.

"It's sad," said Corey Parks of Watertown. "It's a sad thing."

Police said no one else was seriously injured.

Initially, police said to avoid the area. Shortly before 10:30 p.m., they said that Pleasant Street had reopened.
